Nikon D800 Release Date – Originally slated to be released for Feb/Mar 2011, the Nikon D800 release date has been postponed to at least Q1 2012. Typically, Nikon releases dates of new products is around February but 2011 saw a dearth of such pronouncements from Nikon.

Photokina is another venue where Nikon issues press releases but, once again, there was no such information. Quoted from the Nikon D800 review (scroll down a bit to see the Nikon D800 release date rumors), you can see that:
“Reports for the Nikon D800 recommended that because of the earthquake in Japan in March production has fallen behind and also the scheduled launch date was pushed to Fall 2011. And has been since updated to Q1 2012.”
