5D Mark III
5D Mark III – Many are still expectant on this highly anticipated released of the new Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera. This camera is slated to replace the 5D Mark II camera with a whole slew of awesome specs that will leave the Canon fan in the dust.
Oh and the 5D Mark III should impress even the most stalwart Nikon fan about how bad-boy it really is 
5D Mark III
As with the Nikon D800, the Canon 5D Mark III has been hotly anticipated but as of yet still no details forthcoming from the vendors. Of course the production lines for both Canon and Nikon were greatly affected by the Fukushima nuclear disaster and the flooding in Thailand.
There is plenty of bad news for manufacturing companies out of Japan. For Canon, as with Nikon, there are a few preferred venues for PR releases of new products. However, Canon has been mum on the details of the 5D Mark III.
5D Mark III Release Date?
Plenty of Canon fans expected the 5D Mark III to be released on November 3rd. That date has passed us now and we are into 2012. So take this with a grain of salt when I say that the 5D Mark III will be available in Q1 2012.
Still not entirely sure about the release date but Q1 gives about 3 months of leeway until I update this post
5D Mark III – Specs
The Canon 5D Mark II was an awesome camera blasting in at 21 MP and a full frame sensor with killer HD video capabilities. Compared with the Nikon D700, the 5D Mark II kicked some serious a$$!
So expect the 5D Mark III to have at least more megapixels and better video quality.
I think plenty of photographers are there are looking for better weather sealing and a better AF system. I hope that the 5D Mark III will deliver on these accounts.

- 24+ MP
- 6 fps
- Better ISO performance
- Better noise control
Outside of this, there is a whole year left of 2012 right? And we should see the 5d Mark III soon, right? Here’s hoping!
